Eric started into the lawn maintenance business at the age of 12. Encouraged by his father with a fantastic work ethic, he was driven to be an entrepreneur from a young age. His father, Ed, has always demonstrated the importance of customer service, while ensuring great customer satisfaction. Eric admired his father’s great work ethic. In high school he had 3 vehicles, 2 of which were used to run the lawn business. He would maintain yards after school and on weekends. During the same time, he took an interest in cooking. Eric has enjoyed cooking throughout his life and thanks to his mother, Maria, who continues to be a wonderful cook, has taught Eric so much in the kitchen. Because of his mother, he started a catering business called “Eric’s Comida Mexicana” catering to car dealerships on the weekends and taking orders from customers and delivering dozens of burritos, tacos, salsa, and breakfast burritos.

In his personal time, he enjoys being with his beautiful family, watching various concerts, going to see movies, golfing, bowling, and learning to play new music on various musical instruments.

Managing 2 businesses near the end of high school was a bit of a challenge but Eric really enjoyed providing a service that customers enjoyed. His father started the irrigation systems installation and service when he graduated from Oak Park High School. Eric and Ed made an executive decision to collaborate their services by offering a complete outdoor solution to residential and commercial properties “Green Grass Lawn Landscape & Sprinklers LLC.” Over the years Eric has managed office managers, sales managers, estimators and field crews. His primary role is to oversee and manage the company operations. While continuing to see the big picture and becoming more efficient within every level of the business has contributed to their successes thus far. Eric recently made the decision to upgrade the company’s software solutions to help manage the current and new customer database by becoming more efficient while delivering their services. Customers satisfaction is the reason why he continues to drive the business today. Over the past 6 years, Eric has become more involved in organizations such as; Prosult, National Concrete Masonry Association, and the International Concrete Pavement Institute. These organizations following best business practices in the green industry and best landscape construction standards. As the market changes, he will adapt to continue to be the subject matter expert for his customers. This is his passion, he truly enjoys coming up with creative, decorative solutions for customer’s outdoor goals or areas of concern. He takes pride in the workmanship when a job is done and will stand behind the quality of our workmanship.

Ed broke onto the irrigation scene in the 1990’s after partnering with a major irrigation company that started in business in 1974. Since then Ed and Eric have grown Green Grass Lawn & Sprinklers into what it is today.

Prior to the Sprinkler business Ed was an owner / partner in a major food brokerage firm here in the Kansas City area. After having finished his schooling and starting his career in Arkansas, Ed transferred to the Kansas City area in the 1970’s to continue his career in the food industry.

Ed continues to manage our irrigation business day-to-day. Ed enjoys time with his family which includes two beautiful Grandchildren and enjoys working with his Son!
